Speedfloor is a suspended concrete floor system built on roll-formed steel joists that act as both the permanent formwork support and the finished structural member. The joists arrive pre-cambered and pre-punched, drop onto the supporting frame, and carry the plywood forms and wet concrete — then work compositely with the cured slab.
How the system works
- Roll-formed high-tensile steel joists at close centres replace deep beams
- Standard plywood spans between joists as reusable formwork
- Services run through pre-punched web openings — no drilling on site
- The finished floor is shallow, light and immediately trafficable after cure
Where it wins
Multi-storey residential and commercial buildings where floor depth and weight drive cost, mezzanines added inside existing buildings, and fast-track projects where eliminating propping and back-propping compresses the cycle per floor.
