Steel Angles

Steel angles are L-shaped sections with legs at ninety degrees, produced as equal angles (both legs the same width) and unequal angles (one leg longer). Simple, versatile and economical, angles are one of the most widely used structural sections in construction and fabrication.

Forms and grades

  • Equal angles from light framing sizes up to heavy structural legs
  • Unequal angles where one plane carries a deeper connection
  • Rolled from carbon structural grades to EN, ASTM A36, IS and BS standards, in mild and high-strength variants

Applications

Angles form bracing and cleats in structural frames, transmission and telecom towers, equipment skids, shelving and racking, gates and fencing, and general fabrication where two planes must be joined. In composite construction they serve as shelf angles and edge trims; in shipbuilding and wagon building they stiffen plate panels.

How CSACI supplies angles
